Meeting for all educational institutes closure in Pakistan from 16th November

Islamabad, Another meeting is called by the Federal Minister for Education and Vocational Training, Shafqat Mahmood to discuss the current situation of COVID-19 in the educational institutes of country.

The meeting will be held at National Command and Operation Center’s (NCOC) building on November 16, 2020 at 11:00am for the discussion of pandemic situation in the education sector and early and extended winter holidays.

Letter for meeting calling has been send to all the provinces education ministers, also AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Earlier, Asad Umar Federal Minister for Planning has recommended the early and extended winter vacations in the educational institutes this year, his recommendation in the NCOC meeting.

The meeting was informed the increasing ratio of number of cases in the educational institutes. The National Command and Operation Center has decided to call all the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) and discuss the situation in details.

In the last week meeting education minister informed there will be no winter holidays this year as all the institutes were closed from March to September. Punjab and Sindh education ministers also deny to take break.
